  1. Glen Valley scored this whisky 85 points Expert Junior

A whisky in cask strength with an excellent aroma that improves over the evening and invites you to linger. Surprising for a Ledaig: Hardly noticeable smoke in aroma and taste.

Jock, liquid, alcoholic beverage, from the oak barrel. At least 3 years old. That was quickly clear with the blind tasting. ;-) But seriously:
Clear pear, in the left nostril. Fresh pear cake baked by a Ukrainian grandmother. Right nostril: caramel. Winey notes. Alcohol hardly gets through. Sweet, honey. Ahoy shower: neutral. Light smoke that evaporates. Cold ashes. Sweet cherry fragrance. Stone fruit.
Much more complex than the taste. Many notes.
The second time, significantly more sherry.
    • Taste
      85 85
Significantly more alcohol. Sweet, creamy. Soft, creamy, creamy. Oily. The cheesecake sheet after the cake is eaten. Sherry sweetness. A feeling of coming home. (Similarity to Ardbeg, to Bunnahabhain) The aromas a little less distinctive, as with the smell. Briefly pleasant, then the alcohol takes over quickly, but not unpleasantly.
Chilly chocolate at the second try. The taste remains creamy, sweet and creamy.
    • Finish
      83 83
Clearly smoky, coal. Relatively intense, quickly becoming shorter. Sweetness stays longer. You expect more and longer. Remains one-dimensional. A little too musty to be sexy.
