Old Glen Grants are usually very good, especially, if they have a strong fruity component. This is a perfect example and it appears to me that 1972 was a very good year for Glen Grants.
Powerful, aromatic and very fruity - sweet oranges and raisins. I also get dried apricots. Then there are notes of chocolate cookies and forrest honey. Very very tasty.
Rich, smooth and balanced with strong notes of orange cake, wood and forrest honey. Also reminds me of plum in madeira with almonds and chocolate. Complex and absolutely lovely.
Very long, becoming really dry with a lovely fruity aftertaste and plenty of tannins.
