  1. KIMCHIBaby scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Is it delicious? I'm not sure.

Personally, the combination of notes felt slightly awkward at times. Still, I can easily imagine people from different tasting cultures finding this profile especially appealing. A whisky that will likely divide opinions depending on the drinker.
    • Nose
      88 88
Lime, omija berry, nuts, raisins, candy, compote, banana

      "Citrus, nuttiness, and sweetness"
This is the kind of nose that makes you want to leave the glass alone for a long while just to keep observing it. The aroma isn’t especially loud, but it shifts subtly over time. It begins with the bright citrusy sharpness of lime and omija berry, then gradually transitions into warm nutty tones. Just as that settles, an artificial candy-like sweetness suddenly appears, before melting into the softer richness of compote and ripe banana. It constantly changes shape while somehow maintaining balance throughout. Hints of berries also linger in the background, and even while writing notes, the profile keeps evolving.
    • Taste
      87 87
Nuts, lime, chocolate, dried fig, compote, macadamia

      "A strangely nutty palate"
There’s a roasted-peanut-like nuttiness running throughout the palate, accompanied by a faintly dry and dusty texture. Chocolate notes appear alongside the nuts, but the citrusy brightness of lime prevents the sweetness from becoming too heavy. Dried fig and compote-like richness emerge afterward, though they never dominate aggressively. A gentle macadamia-like oiliness also lingers underneath, giving the palate a rather unusual texture.
    • Finish
      87 87
Dark chocolate, dalgona, leather, wooden furniture

      "A bitterness that lingers"
The finish carries a long-lasting bitterness reminiscent of dark chocolate and lightly burnt dalgona candy. Fortunately, the bitterness never becomes harsh, as a subtle sweetness remains alongside it, keeping the profile enjoyable. Mature leather notes and the scent of old wooden furniture also emerge in the finish, giving it a dignified and aged character.
