  1. St. Pauli Plus scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

This is a pleasant and complex whisky. It's well-behaved but certainly not introverted. There is a lot to smell, and it behaves not aggressive at all in the mouth. There is not one element that is the key selling point in this whisky, but the selling point is the overall character and complexity.
    • Nose
      86 86
Very complex with earth, peat, barley, shortbread, honey, mint, wood, almond, orange zest and ripe red apple. It's like walking through a cool and damp dunnage warehouse somewhere close to the sea. Very "natural" but o so pleasant.
    • Taste
      85 85
Medium body. Rather dominated by fruit (orange, mango) and honey. Later, it gets an additional note of wax, heather, allspice and peat.
    • Finish
      85 85
Moderately spicy (cinnamon, cumin), with still the tropical and subtropical fruit, a malty backbone and a trace of mineral, earthy and sooty peat.
