  1. FritzeKrautman scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

The nose is fine, almost fragile and demands attention. This then shows beautiful fruity aspects. On the palate then a not unpleasant soapy note, which becomes even stronger in the finish. If the nose wasn't so reserved, I would have really liked it.
    • Nose
      86 86
Tropical fruits, malt, fine bitterness, roasted aromas, wood, grass, banana, grapefruit, menthol,
    • Taste
      86 86
Sweet, malty, hay, honey, passion fruit, peppermint, berries
    • Finish
      88 88
Medium finish. Soapy, floral, pepper, malt, light oak and a hint of tobacco. Alcohol strong but reasonably integrated.

  2. LiquidThoughts scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

A typical Lochside representative to my liking, the tropics is there, a bit dirty and almost OBF-like notes, crisp malt and ginger, great.
    • Nose
Intensive even for 50%, young papaya, quince, avocado, cedarwood, dried pineapple chips, ginger, light malt, sugar apricots, camphor
    • Taste
Hmm, nice and tropical, a lot of pineapple chips in the beginning, papaya, quince, plums and kiwi, mango and green apple, nice crunchy malt and some leather, hazelnut, milk chocolate
    • Finish
Pineapple chips continue, plus now coconut chips, ginger, malt, green apple, medium to long, intense

A good Lochside who sins by his nose a little shy.

      Apricot, peach, quince, papaya.
      light pineapple peel
      Leather, honey, wood, scone.
      Very light solvent.
    • Taste

In the mouth it is oily and slightly watery. We can feel the reduction.
Pineapple, papaya, apricot, sour green apple, orange and tangerine peel. Light coconut.
Light milk chocolate, shoe polish cream and wood.
      Clove.
    • Finish
      88 88
Long finish on coconut, salted butter caramel, chocolate.

    • Nose
      88 88
honey yellow and medium-wide legs that slowly flow back into the glass
Very closed, only a slightly malt note wobbles over the glass
slowly honey sweetness comes out and light meadow herbs all very filigree
absolutely nothing of the 50% can be felt
    • Taste
      90 90
Honey, malt and here you can feel the power on the tongue
white currant a trace of glue and coconut
      Whole milk chocolate
    • Finish
      88 88
      medium-long, sweet finish
