    Yes, nosing is really fun, there is always something new to discover.
    In terms of taste, as in nosing, it gets to the point; beautiful, modern sherry malt.
    [91 - 87 = extremely tasty -> it's best if I get a second bottle]
    It's a shame that the sample is already empty... it's really fun.
    • Nose
      dark and red flavors: (rum) raisins, plums, dates, brown sugar; Nut flavors (oily Brazil nut, walnut), milk chocolate. Hints of marzipan, waxy notes (not really beeswax, but it goes in that direction).
      Sherry spice/spices with wood tannins ("Grandma's closet wall") with a slight wine cellar mustiness (in a positive sense) with leather sofa and wood polish.
      There are also tobacco leaves, earthy-mineral tones (something like wet, rotting leaves on the forest floor, again in a positive sense), floral touch of dried lavender. Every now and then even something salty (salty sea breeze 500 meters from the beach, but still noticeable).
    • Taste
      spicy at the start, dark aromas, fruity, all the aromas from the nosing are there, a lot of steam on the tongue/tingling, but goes back again and more spices spread, the sherry comes through here (I'm guessing an Oloroso); slightly bitter note of dark chocolate and coffee powder. Malty texture.
      2nd Sip: much more sherry aromas, peppery on the tongue again, but not as strong anymore, the aromas come into their own much better, tannins again, nice texture and therefore volume in the mouth.
      Cinnamon, chocolate again.
    • Finish
      medium to long lasting, dark aromas, spice, tannins on the tongue and palate, leather/wood, hints of tobacco leaves. Roasted flavors, nuts.
