Great! Actually a very simple bottling and compared to some other malts even unspectacular bottling, but it really picked me up. I just really like it. Nice classic Balblair character (or at least the way I have felt it to be more so with malts from this distillery) and in my opinion a good image of the 'typical' Highland whisky, or like a 'typical' Highlander is often staged.

Great, sweet herbal notes, plus honey and pleasant fresh citrus fruits (lemon). After a while, a pleasant, spicy note of wood joins it. The herbal notes fade into the background, the citrus fruits become sweeter and you also seem to perceive some vanilla. The wood is sometimes a little stronger and turns towards dry chocolate or even some tree bark.

Very classic and simple Highland flavor. Nothing outstanding but round, pleasant and definitely not boring. Great, you don't really need more!

Pleasantly spicy, then the herbal notes follow again. This time very intense and with a wonderful sweetness. Capers, thyme and maybe even a little dry olives. In addition, a wonderfully fresh and sweet citrus note. I would say lemon. The wood creates a pleasantly spicy undertone.

Very pleasantly tart with dry chocolate. In addition, again delicate spicy wood notes. In spite of the low alcohol content, it is really not boring and even slightly tingling. Stays on the palate for a relatively long time and still presents a bit of tart wood and dry herbs. Perfect!
