  1. Boletus did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Even if you hardly notice anything from the oak barrels, this doesn't bother you in the slightest. Here the great brand of ''Clynelish'' comes through in all its facets. Lively, sparkling and at the same time extremely tasty and tasty.
    • Nose
A very refreshing smell forms in the glass, lively with lots of lemon, plus a fine note of acacia honey with a slightly waxy appeal, freshly grated ''Granny Smith'' apple and crisp ''Conference'' pear, maybe a little bit sour pineapple , the fire appears very clear and clean, a hint of winter green hovers in the background, also reminiscent a bit of a freshly unwrapped ''Juicy Fruit'' chewing gum, the toasted oak skilfully pretends its absence
    • Taste
A lot of honey at the beginning, a slightly waxy mouthfeel spreads, then a refreshing citrus fruit with a lot of sweetness through the mouth and has a very invigorating and tingling effect, honey pomelo, fresh and slightly sour pineapple, again the crunchy pome fruit, juicy green apples and pears , a tiny pinch of salt, crystal-clear barley and again and again that lovely honey, the fruity chewing gum and the light wintergreen aroma occasionally flash through, if you keep it in your mouth for a long time, a delicate milk chocolate note indicates the stay in rather drained barrels
    • Finish
Beautiful medium length, a hint of lychees and vineyard peaches blows up from the throat, delicately malty with some milk chocolate, for the first time also a little toasted oak and vanilla, but these remain very subtle and discreet in the background, again briefly the lively fruit notes with a slightly tingling acidity, the light honey note hangs waxy in the oral mucosa and dissolves only very slowly, and memories of the aftertaste of honeydew melons are awakened
