A very typical representative of an uncomplicated, flattering Speysider from the PX barrel with full barrel strength on the palate. The whole range of liqueur-tart sherry flavors has plenty of room to spread out here. A very tasty wood seasoning provides a good basic structure. A successful and also totally drinkable thing, for me as a bourbon and refill keg friend, however, a bit too one-sided sherry-heavy - but I could well imagine that other connoisseurs are looking for exactly that.

A beautiful, clean modern PX sherry profile. Dried fruits: raisins, dates, plums; further back there are also a few chocolate-coated Amarena cherries. Buttery, also a bit “rancid” in places. Pecans, macadamias, cashews. Long-aged balsamic vinegar. Viscous molasses that alternates appealingly between reduced sweet and slightly tart. Fermented vinous. Somewhat dry summer forest floor. All of these very typical sherry barrel flavors harmonize very well. There is also no trace of off-flavors.

First of all, it is very intense and really tingly. The nose is shown here very well. An arc of suspense like from a picture book. From tart to spicy woody to syrupy-sweet and dry-fruity. Quite voluminous mouthfeel.

Round and full-bodied. Here, too, the very typical PX profile. Tartly tart with super-to-the-point, aromatic wood spice, which I particularly like. In the end, nice, chocolatey roasted coffee aromas and some tobacco remain. In general it seems to have been a great barrel, I really like the wood influence. My salivation is stimulated, which definitely falls into the category of "dangerously drinkable".
