  1. Boletus did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

There is neither an oak-heavy, dark-fruity sherry monster nor a modern wet cask malt to be found here. Instead, one finds many lovely moments of a very well-matured brandy that interacts wonderfully with the fruity and mild-woody barrel influence. Unfortunately, the finish is over a bit too quickly and can't quite keep up with the rest, which only makes you want to sniff and sip this very tasty whisky again immediately.
    • Nose
A very flattering smell combines exotic tropical fruit aromas with honey sweetness and mild oak, ripe papaya and pineapple, some guava and a little mango, pitahaya, in the background there is the revitalizing cucumber freshness of a thinly sliced star fruit, peaches, candied oranges and juicy sultanas are integrated in pine honey , toasted oak with a thin layer of wood dust adds a fine mixture of vanilla and coconut, the barley rests in itself, a tiny amount of beeswax together with a restrained mineral lime note ensures a slightly coated nose when sniffing more intensively, a small pinch of white pepper, Mace and allspice combine to create a fairly layered and inviting aroma package
    • Taste
Mouth-filling and powerful, but in no way spicy or alcoholic, the slightly spicy and minimally tart pine honey introduces the appealing tropical fruit mixture, ripe pineapple and candied papaya pieces in combination with dried mango as well as sultanas and sugary clean barley invite you to indulge, guava, peaches, Orange jelly, over time the fine and mild wood style builds up, dry oak boards with a subtle, appealing tannin bite, a dab of vanilla cream softens the developing woody impression before roasted grated coconut pushes into the picture and is processed with the candied fruit mix into tropical coconut macaroons
    • Finish
Would like to be longer, also significantly less complex compared to the nose and palate, very slightly waxy, the clear barley says goodbye with a sugary greeting, before the toasted oak takes over with a slightly pronounced dryness and very light tobacco, green tea, a hint Vanilla, minerally ending with an ethereal veil of papaya as well as guava and coconut
