Odour: new inner tube, talc, nutty, including forest honey, spicy sweetness, wood present but well integrated, light leather, fine light tobacco note,

Taste: nice spicy wood, dark chocolate, leather again, nutty again, nice sherry sweetness, fine note of bitter almonds in the middle. reverberation

Colour: reddish copper, medium water's edge, clear

Conclusion: Really well made dram, which shows (me) once again that the "last ounce" of drinking fun cannot be defined by points - despite my respectable criticism, it took far too long for the bottle in the house bar to be emptied .. .

Not as "great" as pure sherry whiskys that have spent all their time in sherry barrels when compared to sherry whiskys. Instead, he has his own identity that sets him apart from others who only go in one direction. Legs type "Jack of many trades".

Not too intense sherry smell and very light spice.
    • Taste
      60 60
Powerful start that quickly and steadily gives way to sherry taste. A little spice is added shortly before the finish.
    • Finish
      60 60
Wort attracts. The strong impression goes away quickly, but a basic taste remains on the tongue.

Edradour 12 Caledonia - a whisky that was supposed to be withdrawn from the market, but is available again everywhere these days. Luckily! He cannot deny his origin from the sherry barrel in color and with 46% vol. it comes with a good strength.

Yep, there is immediately the typical, slightly sour nose of the distillery, leather, tobacco, damp leaves, thyme and oak seasoning. There are also sherry, dark fruits and dark honey. Plums, sour cherries, and dried figs.
There is a lot to sniff out and the alcohol is nicely integrated.

On the palate, a great sherry note, dark fruits and forest honey. Sour cherries and plum marzipan follow. Then come Mediterranean spices, especially rosemary and thyme. Dried oranges and black chocolate, almost a little Black Forest cherry pie. Great and wide range of flavors that you can deal with for quite a while.

Medium to long, initially sherry and dark fruit, followed by spices and dark chocolate. Fresh mint and finally a honey finish with oak flavor.

Every-day-dram from my favorite Highland Distillery. Great value for the money.
    • Nose
Honey, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, dates, plums, raisins, leather, tobacco, wax. Very interesting nose. I could go on until end of time.
    • Taste
Sherry, coffee, oak wood, chocolate, red fruits. Well balanced.
    • Finish
First sweet and fruity, then spicy and adstringend. But never bitter. Between medium and long.
