in the nose emphasizes fruity-fresh with green and yellow aromas.
The taste is then noticeably flatter and more "watery" than expected. The sea breeze / seaweed is no longer to be found in the taste and in the aftertaste, instead some nutty aromas that push more tart notes in the foreground.
[81 - 78 = 'ok' whisky -> but do I need a whole bottle?]; if the taste were the same as the nose, this malt would have done much better for me.
    • Nose
      84 84
green and yellow aromas of apples, pears, apricots, kiwi and banana peel dominate. All aromas appear fresh, i.e. not fermented or stale, but in their "bloom".
In the background something is happening towards the sea breeze, seaweed with a very light smoke. These background flavors support the fresh fruit notes a little, but they clearly set the tone.
Even further "back" something spicy from nutmeg; the malt must have drawn a lot of air in order to release this aroma. A little vanilla and honey are still there, but only in small doses.

ui, it's ironed flat, almost watery at the beginning. Then the wort pops up on the tongue and pushes the malt on again. It gets warm in the throat.
The fruits are also noticeable, but are a little further down level compared to the nose and seem somehow "dull".
Second sip: again extremely soft, more fruit, a nutty aroma (most likely hazelnut) occurs and brings slightly tart notes with it. Almost bitterness at the back of the palate.
Can barely catch on ... The wort helps not to have to feel this tipping point clearly.
All in all, however, quite flat and no longer as fruity and fresh as on the nose. Too bad.
    • Finish
      78 78
the malt lasts for a medium length with tannins of oak spice and the nutty, but emphatically bitter notes.
The smoke content is practically not recognizable and also not to be guessed in the finish.
