  1. LiquidThoughts scored this whisky 91 points Connoisseur

The 43% doesn't actively hurt him, but at 46-48 he would have been perfect. Great complex, exciting combination of aromas, well balanced.
    • Nose
Very interesting nose, flashing tropical notes, papaya, then something more classic, very nice sherry cask, dried fruit, honey, toffee, elegant oak (very subtle), then very own umami notes, towards soy sauce, a bit sweet and sour, gooseberries and star fruit, pineapple chips, becomes maltier later
    • Taste
Pineapple chips, mango, quince, beautifully elegant oak and liquorice, dried fruit, toffee, subtle herbal honey, heather grass, lemongrass, some ginger, malt beautifully subtle but present
    • Finish
Pineapple chips, lemongrass, mango, ginger, camphor, quince, anise, medium to long
