The price is again an announcement. For the hardcore nerds among us some arguments to avoid the bottle: low alcohol content, colored, filtered, premium branding with high quality presentation .. as far as nothing unusual. Do we know about Winter Storm? The Grand Cru here seems to me, however, much more present, the influence of the wine is not intrusive. I think it is wonderfully composed, 100 euros less would have done it
    • Nose
Amazingly alive, I had expected something more laid-back. Light garden fruits, floral sweetness and a light mineral tingling can evoke memories of an Indian summer in the vineyards. Ground almonds, light honey and sweet brioch tea, finely nuanced grapefruit peel and candied ginger in the back
    • Taste
beautiful presence and texture, the 40% do not bother here at all. Fresh and sweet on the first start, but the rather voluptuous body alone gives an idea of the older age. Light pear compote, dusted with cinnamon, served with vanilla biscuits. Will become increasingly drier with grape seeds and light pepper
    • Finish
medium long, supple. Dry on the tongue, from the throat rises again fresh fruit sweetness

Well done Glenfiddich. 3 or 6% more alcohol and it would be a candidate that would get over 90 points.

Ripe apples and pears. Sweet pastries, vanilla and caramel. Flowerhoney. After a while also sweet, overripe grapes and sweet dessert wine. In addition to the fruit sweetness, there is also a light floral note. Cinnamon and light fruit bread. Overall full and round.

Sweet brioche. Pear sorbet and a slight ginger spiciness. Vanilla and caramel again. Light grapes. Not as sweet on the palate as the nose suggests. A little more alcohol strength would do him good.

Sweet, only getting slightly drier. The fruit sweetness, pastries, fading fruit notes, caramel and vanilla remain. Medium to long.

Fruity, honey, malt, prunes, citrus, cane sugar, oak, a little extinguished campfire, paper, caramel. Balanced, creamy, fine-grained texture, lightweight, medium intensity, successful.

    He smells very good.
    Oak and vanilla.

    Slightly spicy, slightly sprightly,
    a little immature, unbalanced.

Too bad, he has such a great aroma, but he does not go with the flavor.
    Does he need more time?
