A very interesting and extraordinary drop! Musty and musty, fermented fruit, sweet and pleasantly creamy with a subtle tart note yet citrus and dry wood. Similar to the Secret Orkney (our Hans Peter) .... I like it very much!
    • Nose
Dark copper shimmers mysteriously with an orange glow in the Premium Snifter, on the glass wall a large streak forms out of which slowly dissolve a multitude of small drops which then flow relatively quickly back into the glass. For the first moment, a dominant alcohol note is evident, which suggests volume on cask strength. Slightly musty and rotten woody tones rise with fermented and dried berries, minimally shows pleasant sulfur. Dark oranges and velvety peach are stored in a vaulted cellar, sugar and sweet caramel are added, the initially fruity muff and moder slowly changes to decayed wooden planks, becomes slightly salty, in a way the nose reminds me of a whisky from Michel Couvreur's vaulted cellar , Again, there are minimal sulphurized berries and fruits, the alcohol content weakens a little while dark oranges with a hint of citrus fruits come to the fore. The fermented and dark sherry aromas in the nose stimulate my salivation massively and so I allow myself the first sip immediately.
    • Taste
Sweetness flashes briefly, then dry and fermented berries with dark sherry pour over the tongue, caramel and toffee mingle with chocolate and caramelized sugar, meadow herbs and a hint of oriental spices make me think briefly of cough syrup or medicine. The mouthfeel then looks surprisingly creamy and dry at the same time, hints of cedar wood and dried tobacco leaves appear. At the second sip, the alcohol immediately unfolds its full volume on the tongue and warms the palate, grapefruit and lemons sparkle, followed again dried berries and minimally sulphured fruits, creamy and slightly greasy wood tones, minimal roasted aromas or hints of minimal smoke , Herbs and spices, spicy wood elements and again I form a subtle tobacco aroma perceive.
    • Finish
Slowly blurred taste and aftertaste. Creamy and oily swim spicy pieces of wood under the tongue, hints of hazelnut and old walnuts sticks to the palate. Sweetness and caramel reoccur, the intensifying wood notes dissolve raisins and oranges, peaches and hints of sour cherries in combination with dates let the end to the finish.
