It’s not that sticky and lingering as I would have expected (because it’s Clynelish), but the nose really did it for me! I think that sweet candy peaches with the combination of that candy wax... It’s just yummy...

Boom: that delicous Clynelish wax note comes up immediately. It’s a sweet candy wax, not a chemical candle wax. Followed by a sweet candy note of Haribo peaches and fruitiness of ripe pear. Notes of Honeycomb, vanilla and malty.

Honey, Citrus, again the ripe pears, peaches. Malty and the wax note turned into bee-wax. Also there’s a salty note which is not often that prominent in a Clynelish as in this bottling.

A bit warm. More of that waxy notes, honey and at the end the salty notes is taking the overhand.

Ripe peaches, green apple peel, soft vanilla and barley. Subtle flavors that are greasy and round.

Very nice and already pretty mature whisky for only 9yo. A lot of fruity and sweet notes, Would I name it a Clynelish if tasted blind? Probably not, as I didn't find this typical waxy element here.
But still a very good and pleasant dram.
    • Nose
Fruity, citrus, orange, some apples as well. Also something grassy, hay, organic. Sugarcane, sweet, peach. Vanilla, pear.
    • Taste
Pretty some pepper and power, pickering. Sweet, honey, peach, some citrus, more to the direction of oranges. Creamy structure. Then some pear again.
    • Finish
Now pretty smooth actually, still sweet, honey, peach. Full taste, pretty long finish. Vanilla again.
