  1. didi1893 scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

The single grain shows its chocolate side extremely mildly, with only 42% alcohol content somehow understandable. The sometimes spicy and bitter wood influences are a welcome change here. I would probably not have recognized this whiskey blindly as "German", but rather as a gentle and mild Lowlander ... Easy drinking, nothing special and still tasty.

    • Nose
Intense amber glitters in the glass, on the glass wall of my premium snifter there is a multitude of oily legs. Sweet caramel rises with a fine note of cinnamon, milk chocolate mixes with sweet grapes, minimally yellow fruits appear. The nose looks extremely sweet and yet somehow delicate and reserved. Grain notes and fruity hints of raisins and toffee dissolve slightly malty. Mild and gentle, the alcohol is absolutely imperceptible.
    • Taste
With the first sip, malty dark cereal aromas stand out, caramelized sugar and tart wood tones melt together. Raisins, a hint of dark chocolate and subtle spiciness follow and leave a creamy film on the tongue. Cinnamon and cocoa, malt and wood give the mouth a strong volume for a short time, which subsides shortly afterwards and leaves mild grain notes on the tongue. The second sip looks noticeably sweeter and milder, but the subtle sharpness and the dried grapes and berries appear immediately afterwards. With dark chocolate and dark caramel, the taste and aftertaste are blurred.
    • Finish
Grain notes and chocolate rest sweetly and mildly on the palate, a pinch of cinnamon mixes with spicy wood tones and intense malt. The aftertaste is relatively voluminous at the beginning and briefly warms the palate. Gradually, the malty and fruity chocolate-cereal mixture fades away, leaving caramelized sugar and cocoa powder on the tongue.
