There's seems to be significant difference between these older Glendronach's depending on which market they were bottled for. This was from a bottle imported by Previ Brescia for Italy.
    • Nose
Big peat in this one. Less of a straight smoke and more of a smouldering earth, funky hay, and burning sandalwood. There's also fudge, treagle, figs, raisins, prunes, plums, all drenched in several layers of rich, dark chocolate and ganache. Little bit of baking spices and OBE
    • Taste
More dark chocolate, blackberry jam, Black Forest cake, cherry preserves, plum pudding, rum-raisin cake, Christmas-time baked goods
    • Finish
Extremely drying, wow! This is as dry as the most drying oloroso sherries that I've had. Almost too drying. A total palate cleanser that leaves you smacking your lips. Tannic oak, metal polishes, dark chocolate, dry leather, old cigar humidor
