The body is really sonorous and well balanced. The barrel wort and the fruit are in perfect symbiosis. The finish could be a little longer. Otherwise, a really nice BenRiach.

    strongly reminiscent of a Glendronach
    so may whisky taste
    A big movie theater
so far the best of the various ripening, and by far
    • Nose
dark, juicy fruits ... reminds a bit of Glendronach
      Orange, raisins, cinnamon,
Baked apple with marzipan bonnet and grated bittersweet chocolate pieces
Dark chocolate and orange marzipan are getting stronger
    • Taste
hmmm, all these great flavors can be found in the mouth
Sweetness, fruit, chocolate but also a delicate bitterness

A wonderfully intense, intense malt, yet supple and elegant. The varied aroma game, which he promises in the nose, he consistently pulls through to the finish. This BenRiach replaces the dessert after a good meal or coffee and cake in the afternoon. I was surprised by the slight peat smoke, as this should actually be a nonsmoker. Predicate: Highly recommended!
    • Nose
Strong aroma of caramelized dates. Strong spiciness and nutty -> Gives me the sensation of walnuts that have been dried over light peat smoke and always in the interplay with the scent of a fresh opened package of spinach tobacco. Every now and then a hidden, slightly flowery scent comes through.
    • Taste
A creamy sweet mouthfeel, which goes in the direction of syrup. Sweet dates with a nutty spiciness and a slightly peppery spiciness, which combine with a supple light bitterness of the oak. At the moment of swallowing, some peat smoke is noticeable.
    • Finish
Sweet dates again, with a creamy lukewarm, bittersweet chocolate sauce. Becomes a bit dry and nutty. The creamy and slightly bitter mouthfeel combines with some peat smoke and is long-lasting.
