A gorgeous bourbon matured oldie. I enjoyed this in an extensive vertical of sherried Glendronachs, and this one was the lightest in colour despite the high age. I really like its profile, although it barely resembled the sherried Glendronachs. It shows how great a well aged bourbon matured Glendronach can be.
    • Nose
      92 92
Overripe citrus fruits, peaches and dried pineapple, some honey and a savoury dimension that I encounter more often in drams from this period. Suble spices develop, together with a unique but pleasant sweatiness. A great nose!
    • Taste
      91 91
Savoury notes of parmesan cheese and fermented fruits kick off this palate. Oranges, dried mangoes, honey and a refined spiciness follow, before a darker note of roasted coffee appears together with a subtle sweet floral aroma.
    • Finish
      90 90
Waves of spices pair with honey, peaches and juicy citrus fruits. Becomes a bit drier over time.
