  1. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

I admit that I'm not a huge Glen Scotia fan, but there's nothing wrong with that. The barrel sets the tone except for slight impacts. A whisky that I pour myself but would not buy as a large bottle.
    • Nose
Starts quite rough and spicy, you definitely need a little air, raspberry spray, PEZ raspberry, yes it gets better quickly with a little air, sweet, light acidity, in the background nuts, dark chocolate, melted, looks very creamy, a hint of Mon Cherie, light malty, and above all there is a very fine floral basic tone, which I like to associate with Glen Scotia, with time it goes away from the creamy and it gets fresher again, with menthol, a hint of glue , I probably smelled it too long and too deeply
    • Taste
oily and creamy mouthfeel, vinous, a little like a swimming pool (so how does it smell, chlorine?), raspberry, effervescent, that's also what I meant by the swimming pool, nuts, dark chocolate, a basic sweetness resonates, here too something floral , drinkable without water in terms of alcohol strength
    • Finish
out the back drier, slightly tart, still nuts, light acidity, a little tingling salt on the palate, also vinous here, grapes, lasts a very long time, in the end there is menthol freshness
