  1. Andytka3 scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

N- Deliciously layered with dried fruits of prunes, figs and plum, peat comes thru in the form of sweet cola. Mandarin orange peel, marmalade, strawberry jam and candy shops. Lost the earthiness that appeared on the old batch, with more sweet floral scents filled the void adequately. Evolving well to thicker notes of chocolate, juicy sandalwood and the tropical rambutan nuances. Last but not least, the dried pickled hot ginger. (91/22)

P- Wood at first, with tropical fruits reveals itself on subsequent sips. Hints of fragrant low-smokes burning jostick around the nose, rather "zen" with well balance and well manner nature. Good body that sits well on palate and offering bits of everything. Hard to pick fault at. (91/22)

F- Medium, smooth, mellow, dried fruits, fresh with depth and not being too complicated. Creamy chocolate, prunes, figs and raisins. Some old Merlot Cask in the vat? (87/21)

B/B- 93/23 Feels like an old school malt, despite it is actually quite young. Pretty well done.

    Cereal- 1, Fruity- 4, Floral- 2, Peaty- 1, Feinty- 1, Sulphur- 0, Woody- 3, Winery- 3

    Weighted Rate- 88pt
