Very sweet grape juice in the foreground. And behind it - apple juice. Still further back: Menthol fresh, malt coffee, clove, lavender. Overall, heavy fruity, but also fresh. But also quite alcoholic.
Tastes somewhere between a whisky and a (good) brandy. I certainly would not have recognized a Glen Moray here. Heavy grape sweetness, delicate oak, quite mild from alcohol, slight malt and floral notes.
Medium to (rather) long. Dextrose, tender oak, grapes, flowers.
Conclusion: I still do not know what to think of it. There are definitely no missing notes, no musty, which is quite good for a Glen Moray. But if that was a whisky treat, I'm not sure yet.
PS. Two days later: Now he tastes more like whisky. I think it's really tasty. Due to the moderate price almost an everyday dram. The notes mentioned above are joined by something slightly acidic. For some reason, my association is a bath towel soaked in white wine.
