  1. dram-drinker scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

Old school sherry whisky, complex and balanced, not overpowered and not drying, probably a little dusty and not as intense and fruity as the miniature I tried once before. I think the bottle gave too much of angel's share. Let's see if it will still develop after opening - anyhow great stuff!

Old wood, little dusty, acacia honey, nutmeg, tobacco, dried fruits, dates, figs, little nutty, hints of menthol and eucalyptus, whiffs of sherry, chocolate, toffee - great!
    • Taste
      94 94
Little punchy, oily, creamy, liquorice, good sweetness, more dried fruits, tobacco, toffee, chocolate, spices, nutmeg, cloves, hints of brown sugar and molasses, some acacia honey, cooked oranges, old sherry wood - excellent!
    • Finish
      92 92
Long, warm, more of cooked fruits, jam, fine sherry wood, spicy, not drying, whiffs of smoke - very good!
