Delicious! Creamy and sweet, fruity and voluminous, plus this incredible cocoa note in the nose and in the taste. Although this is a Madeira hogshead, the flavors remind me extremely of sweet and tasty PX sherry ... Delicious and tasty!

    • Nose
Creamy copper with an orange shimmer shines in the Premium Snifter. Caramelized sugar and milk chocolate mix with a pinch of cinnamon, bright and sweet fruits appear in full splendor, cocoa powder trickles on raisins and orange peel, the incredibly sweet fruit note ends in the nose with a minimal salty taste. Subtle hints of smoke, but really only minimal, the salty note increases, as does the intense cocoa aroma with dried grapes and berries. After the sweet and fruity nose has stimulated my saliva, I finally want to try the Ballechin ...
    • Taste
The Ballechin flows creamy and sweet through the palate, milk chocolate and cocoa powder mix with roasted aromas and dried berries. The second sip flows gently over the tongue, the second sip leaves more volume on the palate, increasing sharpness on the tongue and creamy fruit aromas towards the finest PX sherry. The next sip flows creamy and voluminous over the tongue, smoky wood aromas end bitterly and bitterly on the tongue and leave a peppery and oily film on the tongue. Black pepper and coarse sea salt, followed by smoky wood tones and minimal peat massively stimulate saliva and leave an incredibly creamy and greasy mouthfeel. With fresh mint, the taste and aftertaste become blurred.
    • Finish
Minimally smoky wood tones, hints of earthy peat and dried berries, the aftertaste is incredibly oily and greasy. The voluminous and creamy aromas linger on the palate for a long time, sweetness flashes briefly, hazelnuts mix at the end with mint and a handful of dried herbs.
