    A good smoker. Not too strong, not too weak ... with that certain something. Maybe a bit expensive ...
    • Nose
      Sweet and smoky. Tobacco. Subway. BBQ. Clay / soil.
    • Taste
      Soft onset, sweet and smoky. Minimal citrus. Every now and then a bit bitter, then sweeter. Herbs too.
    • Finish
      Relatively long.

    if there is such a thing as an Islay breakfast whisky this would be it; inoffensive to a fault.
    • Nose
      soft and creamy with gentle peat; an underlying astringency, gooseberries
    • Taste
      a little sauvignon and cereal
    • Finish
      short->medium; some roughness and peat to follow

    A powerful, interesting malt!
    [Color] white wine;
    • Nose
      distinct vanilla notes, sweetness, light citrus aromas, some smoke;
    • Taste
      powerful sweet onset, creamy, noticeably vanilla, citrus fruit, beautiful smoky aromas, but distinct, metallic youth;
    • Finish
      medium-length, dry, smoky finish; ashen finish;

    Young, simple, quite OK to drink, but nothing really interesting.
    • Nose
      Fresh, creamy, gently smoky, vanilla, pear, lemon
    • Taste
      Smooth, a bit sweet, resin, porridge, vanilla fudge, lemon zest
    • Finish
      Rather long, spicy, smoky, somewhat nutty

      Some peat and a good part of citrus fruits..

      Not so long....

    Here are older tasting notes from the summer. I recently tasted it once more during a tasting (2017 vintage) and there are no big differences.
    • Nose
      78 78
      First smoke, but nothing heavy and stale. In addition citrus fruits? But sweet.
    • Taste
      78 78
      Alcohol on the tongue. Something metallic - that will probably be quite young. But reasonably covered by the smoke. And now also the citrus fruits.
    • Finish
      80 80
      Medium to long. The citrus fruits are still quite long on the tongue, the smoke much longer.

    Tasted Kilchoman Euro Tour 4 Oktober 2018 Heers

    90% bourbon 10% sherry, age: 5-6yo
    • Nose
      Not pungent, salt, vanilla, bonfire, peanut, little sweet
    • Taste
      Quite round, vanilla, peaty to the end, very light spices
    • Finish
      Smokey, sweet, vanilla, polished spices grow a little bigger to the end, bit of sharpness in the end. (86)
      After 10 min: sweet soft polished smoke which is +++ (if this was from the beginning: 88)
