littlemill style, ok, it's not complicated, not multi-layered, herbaceous, but delicious and soulful! Solid release!

  2. Ostap scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

    Cute, completely non-trivial, interesting profile.

Iriska, herbal infusion, anise, baking, herbs, ascorbic acid tablet, baby vitamins, vanilla, spices for canning, fruit caramel, cucumber, pear. Very interesting and unusual profile, I do not remember something like that.

Mineral, sour, sweet-meat, tangentially herbal (dry herbal), oily.
    • Finish

Herb, long, knit, oak, sweets, fruits, meat.

For each of their five [Golf Open] sponsorship years, Loch Lomond’s master blender Michael Henry will be collaborating with a golfer for unique annual releases. This first Autograph Edition is a collaborative effort between Henry & golfer Paul Lawrie.

N: That’s the ticket, 18 years of maturation providing all sorts of oiliness as well as a distinct Irishness. Some peat too?

T: With a firm and deliberate direction, this is a decently aged straight-talker.

F: Long and true. More indications of some peat, or charring perhaps.

C: Mannochmore meets Caol Ila? Perhaps not a beginners malt but a fine start for the Autograph series.

Not the best Loch Lomond expression I recently tasted. Quite alcoholic taste. Nose is fine, but taste and finish stay behind. It was a sample only which did not convince me to buy a fool bottle. Water does not improve things for the better.
