  1. Nosingbär scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

This is the kind of whisky I'm into right now. Young to middle-aged, unusual, unusual, good taste and mouthfeel with a finish that doesn't make you regret having ended the taste experience early. Gorgeous from start to finish. The red wine barrel is too present for me for 90 points, that actually bothers me, but it's worth 88 points to me.

An incredibly dense aroma. What syrup is to the mouth, this is to the nose. Voluminous. Cowshed in the most pleasant sense possible. Yes, that smells like the romantically transfigured olfactory idea of farm and country idyll. Plus thick caramel, hot currant sauce. Gorgeous herbs. Especially basil. To kneel down this nose. Fresh hay with alpine herbs (I know what that smells like because we have guinea pigs and hamsters). Mint. Dried tea herbs such as chamomile. Chocolate. There is also a hint of smoked ham.
    • Taste
      89 89
Medicinal, aromatic smoke. In addition sweet and sour berry mixture, mint. Bitzelt sour on the tongue like a lime. In fact, citrus fruit is also included. Jasmine tea. If you let the water settle a little, it becomes incredibly good in the taste. Smoked ham on berries refined with seasonal herbs. Peppered mint chocolate with salted caramel for dessert.
    • Finish
      86 86
Blackberries and currants on the finish as well as red grapes, especially the spicier, tart skin. Cassis. The finish is dominated by the red wine barrel. The hearty smoky note fades away wonderfully salty-peppery. Mmm.
