  1. Archer scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

What you can get out of a whisky matured in sherry barrel for 8 years. The nose is wonderfully varied, on the tongue he also celebrates a party and in the finish, he hardly lets up. Class.
    • Nose
      88 88
Meaty with prunes, figs, raisins and crushed grapes. The sherry barrel is very present. Moist forest floor, Kellermuff, some shoe polish. Almonds and pecans in the background. Over time, the muff and meaty flies off and it gets more fruity with blackberries and blueberries. Now comes notes of creme brulee, beet syrup and caramel sweets.
    • Taste
      89 89
Sweet grapes with eraser flakes. Smoked ham and fresh wood. On the tongue lies something that makes one think of peat smoke. Fermented and dried fruits shake hands. Old coffee grounds, damp forest soil, deadwood with lichens. All flavors are close together.
    • Finish
      88 88
Medium long and only slightly dry. A sweetish fruit note, interspersed with muff and moder. Oak shavings, coffee powder, dried figs.
