#050 INCHMURRIN SINGLE CASK no. 16-319/3 M&P SINGLE MALT SCOTCH Whisky LIMITED EDITION 52.7%
...everything is pleasing, the bottle, the setting, the alcohol content… but that was all there was to it. Very pleasant on the nose. In the mouth, "moderate". However, you have to be prepared for quite a lot of alcohol. Almost imperceptible on the nose, but in the mouth it gives to burn. I am a supporter of pure nature, i.e. if God gave what she gave, it is better not to improve it and normally Inchmurin cost solo, without water. However, in this case I have to break this rule. A little water in the form of a large ice cube will make , it will be more drinkable.
This is what I wrote - but you don't have to believe everything. It's best to check it yourself, because only you are able to check whether Inchmurrin Single Cask will "suit" you or not
    • Nose
... sweet, even exceptionally sweet, breakfast cereal with honey and milk, lots of juicy fruit, a pear dripping with juice, apples, a bit of grape, somewhere there's something citrusy - maybe lime, orange?, candy fudge or toffee, a bit of cinnamon and sharper aromatic spices. Very pleasant to receive.
    • Taste
... strange! First, a taste of a sort of citrus aroma?!, like lemon cake. In a moment, quite fiery, spicy, the strength of the distillate makes itself known, but it is not an alcoholic smell, but precisely a spice, a mixture like in a mortar: ginger, cloves, anise, licorice and all of that ground, aromatic and strong at the same time. (by the way - licorice is a perennial, with a slightly specific taste and quite sweet) ..oh my.. It warms quite a bit, and the heat covers everything.. The second sip confirms the strength. When the "spiciness" fades a bit, a bit of candy, somewhere there creeps in some unidentified earthiness, ... and all the time ginger, strong, stinging, warming. A few drops of water bring out a bit more sweetness and gently drown out the "percentages".
    • Finish
... medium length, spicy, strong, slightly bitter and oaky at the end
