Intense peat and smoke, paired with sweetness and fruit, plus a lot of volume thanks to over 50% alcohol content. Certainly not a high-flyer, but extremely tasty and tasty! The name "Godfather of Peat" says it all ... ;-)
    • Nose
Dark straw shines in the Premium Snifter, many small "legs" loosen from an oily streak while an intense peat scent is noticeable from afar. Fly ash and roasted aromas dominate the first impression, caramel and toffee merge, hints of dried berries and baked bananas exude their sweet, fruity taste. A hint of citrus fruit and smoky wood tones end in caramelized sugar and peppermint leaves rubbed between the fingers, in the foreground is the sweet, dominant smoky note with mineral hints.
    • Taste
With the first sip, fruity peat and smoke hit the palate, caramel and toffee stick to the tongue with a touch of pepper, cozy warmth floods the cheeks and the palate. The saliva is stimulated suddenly, chocolate and smoke flatter the tongue, a touch of fly ash settles on the tongue, grilled banana and apricot penetrate the voluminous peat smoke. Once again, the spiciness tickles the tongue, the smoke becomes more mineral while chocolate and sweet fruit aromas emerge. Hazelnuts and tobacco rest on the tongue, the mouthfeel is extremely creamy and viscous.
    • Finish
Tart wood tones stick with mineral smoke and fruity peat on the palate, a touch of fly ash and caramel ends in dried vanilla pod and dry wood tones. Nevertheless, the aftertaste is incredibly creamy and oily, hints of bacon swim oily in the saliva, the voluminous aftertaste will be remembered for a long time.
