What a fruit bomb. From the smell to the taste to the finish, the fruit components are extremely dominant the entire time. Pure as well as diluted. The alcohol is well integrated, shows itself, but is never in the foreground. This is a great malt! Apparently I'm a Madeira barrel fan.

The malt shines in a light gold and clings to the rim of the glass with a thin oily film. A few tears find their way down to the floor of the Premium Snifter. Immediately after pouring, gooseberries and green, very ripe grapes appear with a slight acidity, but also with a high glucose content. Fruity & sweet. Slight tug in the nose due to the 59.4% alcohol. After a few minutes of standing and oxygenation, an intense perfume-like bouquet of violets appears. Vineyard peaches, strawberries, bananas and vanilla beans join them. With the addition of water, the aroma changes from being a powerhouse to a harmonious combination of the pieces of the olfactory puzzle.

Wow. A very powerful attack with a great creamy mouthfeel. Like strong sweet wine, lots of glucose and grapes. The vanilla beans and the other fruits from the nose are also clearly present. The malt is great for playing with water. With a few drops, the aromas become softer, the sweetness decreases somewhat, but remains the dominant factor. Still very fruity. No noticeable cask impressions such as spice or bitterness. Pure fruit.
    • Finish
      87 87
At the finish, the whisky moves down the throat, pleasantly warming. The sweet fruit components are still present for a long time. Strongly astringent on the tongue and on the lips, the alcohol shows its power here. Hardly any bitterness from the oak. With water, it also becomes softer and more velvety in this area without losing any of its aromas.
