The smell of incense is great, but overall it is slightly inferior to the OB single bucket 21 and the TBWC selected bucket.
    • Nose
Dirty marine leather oils form the base, raw leather, sulphur that is not annoying, pig oil, simmering water, Hainan coconut chicken, salty, peat smoke, marine atmosphere.

It's amazing how complex and sweet flowers and fruits can be interpreted on such a heavy background, orange, stewed plum, black persimmon, passion fruit, locust nectar, purple pansy, lily, magnolia powder.

Finally, it ends with a woody tone, sweet ginkgo, maple aroma, graphite core, heavy CaCO₃, and the tail is slightly dry.

Compared with OB, it is similar to the red 12CS in recent years, but the peat is weak and the floral fragrance is more complicated. The final dry limestone is slightly inappropriate.
    • Taste
Full, oily, strong body, slightly spicy, low acidity, slightly bitter.

Palate: The acidity is prominent, the smell of flowers and fruits is no longer as sweet as smelling the scent, sour berries, red wine stained apples, pineapple peels, gardens.

Huxing soup with a little bit of oil.

The whole is slightly dry and plain. Lily cake, pretzel, white calcium, anhydrous calcium carbonate, loess, coffee tincture, oak spice.

It is a pity that the smell and body of this wine are too flat to describe.
    • Finish
Long-lasting, oily, woody, bitter and aromatic, burnt matches.

    Nose: layered and complex ...
Super! Spring's characteristic haze, meadow flowers, light honey, wax, white pepper, ripe fruit, green apple. Excellent!
    Taste: mint, honey, propolis, pepper
Finish: long and pleasant ... Warm and delicious!

  3. Calmar scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

Very pleasant mineral molt, attractive, very solid, well balanced, invigorating, sparkling, very strong aroma and taste / finish level.
    • Nose
Open, wet, raw wood of noble breeds, leather goods, pronounced mineral tones - stone chips, drying plaster, whetstone; salty sea notes, very light sweet-berry and peaty-ash motifs.
    • Taste
Soft, rich, sweet-mineral, berry jam, sulfur notes, nuts, cappuccino, mineral water, leather goods.
    • Finish
The continuation of taste, soft, sweet-sour, mineral with light notes of sulfur, berry jam, burnt match heads and mineral water, is enriched in development with tropical fruits, bubble gum, polish and red rowan.

Very tasty and the age is well represented by the different layers. The sherry influence is limited. I'm not sure if that's even a good thing. I would say: expectations met. But maybe there would have been more in it without the sherry. Full review (german): https://keinehalbendrinks.de/2020/05/21/ein-sack-voll-springbank/

Absolutely nice melange of fruitiness and leather/stable.
