Sweet, fruity and creamy, plus a good portion of peat and a pleasant smoke aroma on the tongue ... This "godfather of peat" has a slightly milder and creamier effect, the wine finish harmonizes perfectly with the voluminous peat note and the restrained smoke.
I love the combination of peat and wine finish, lovely!
    • Nose
Extremely light copper shimmers silky in the glass, on the glass wall of my Premium Snifter occasional long "legs" run their oily paths. steamed peat flavors mix immediately with sweet fruit, dried grapes and berries follow, toffee and a few crumbs of sugar dissolve from red fruits. Minimal hints of smoke, steamed peat and opulent fruit then stimulate my saliva ...
    • Taste
Sweet grapes mix with warm peat and caramelized sugar with the first sip, the "Fallen Angel" flows mild and creamy over the tongue and leaves a pinch of white pepper and a subtle spiciness with a tiny chilli catch. In this "Godfather of Peat" too, the relatively high alcohol content is wonderfully integrated and the mouthfeel is velvety and creamy. Minimal campfire and fly ash, but a lot of fruit with wonderfully smoky peat.
    • Finish
The spiciness tickles the tongue, the pinch of pepper gradually fades, hazelnuts and grilled fruit appear. Grapes stick creamy on the tongue, cozy warmth caresses the tongue, tobacco and tannic acid are minimal. The aftertaste remains sweet and fruity on the palate for a long time, with fruity peat on the tongue and warm smoke in the throat, the aftertaste slowly fades away.
