  1. Boletus did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Too much bitter notes and artificial sweetness make it impossible for me to enjoy this malt. Although there are nice aspects from time to time, they are few and far between and cannot steer the events on the right track, but at most prevent the total failure. This is perhaps conceivable as an alternative to a bitters, but I don't enjoy it.
    • Nose
Rather sour grapes go hand in hand with plantains, the clumsy young brandy shows clear barley notes, these seem really green behind the ears, also a bit yeasty and cheesy, a small sweet pastry note hovers in the background, but this is really only very subtly pronounced and goes in the direction of cheesecake or buttercream cake, a small hint of bitter almonds and a drop of forest honey try to turn the smell in a sweet direction, but everything is carried by a quite clear alcoholic base note, sweetish resin swells out of a freshly debarked twig, fresh spruce cones , finely chopped green olives swim in ''Cynar'' artichoke liqueur, with the addition of water and a long stay in the air, the honey gains in presence
    • Taste
Tart bitter and also provided with recognizable acidity, like a green olive chewed with a sip of martini, a resinous greenwood note spreads, then a rather artificial sweetness like saccharin is added, all together reminiscent of ''Otovowen'' drops, also some bitters is there, all in all the bitterness dominates and complements the alcoholic sting to a rather unattractive overall structure
    • Finish
Unfortunately too long, but comparatively mild, nevertheless the alcoholic note flashes through again at the beginning, the memory of ''Otovowen'' drops comes up again, a menthol vapor rises from the cheeks, chicory unfolds its bitterness and becomes only a few drops of honey Toned down, saccharin sweetness and resinous green spruce cones linger with remnants of nagging bitterness
