I really like Glen Scotia, but I don't understand the higher price of this one, even when compared to the much tastier and more intriguing Double Cask. Maybe I'm not ready for 1832, even after drinking a whole bottle (don't worry, not all at once)!

Vanilla and caramel blend smoothly, along with the spiciness of dried yellow peppers. There is a used barrel, with rectified wood. In a more subtle layer there is chocolate, ripe orchard fruits, one of which is citrusy and almost red, as well as candied fruits and sweet spices; these are top notes that demand rest in the glass. Fresh malt, ripe cereals and perhaps a rye.

With water it released mint, anise and a light acetic, reduced the spiciness a little and clarified a reused ex-Bourbon barrel.

Once the label is revealed, let's get to the ice: pineapple, malt, vanilla, orchard fruits, cooked fruits and completely eliminate the spiciness and old barrel.

Right away a used barrel, spicy almost alcoholic, with malt, vanilla, dried fruits, ripe fruits and some candied orange peel; Demerara sugar can be added. Medium mouth weight, I don't know if it's a blend or a young single malt. Salivation helps to overcome the stinging.

With water it accompanied the mentholated opening of the aroma, in addition to reducing the spiciness. Cooked fruits and old ex-Bourbon barrel are here.

With the label revealed, let's play with ice: brackish, with a used barrel that bothers me. Touches of vanilla, cooked fruits and bitterness. Some green leaves were dry instead of the majority, which become sweeter when diluted with water.

Long, with cooked fruit, some cooked vegetables, old wood, some tannin, malt and yeast. A touch of honey and vanilla in the aftertaste.
