  1. The Macallan scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

Clearly a first fill cask, fun but not very exciting to me. I have tasted some better grains in the past from the sixties, a 1965 Invergordon from Duncan Taylor is a fine example of it. However this grain has some nice accents on the nose.
    • Nose
Packed with vanilla, bourbon, matured, slightly warming spicyness, it's more a well aged ordinary bourbon then a grain, wood shavings, tropical fruit
    • Taste
Very gentle, sweet with again vanilla with a huge amount of fruit but very monotone
    • Finish
Dry, spicy with a hint of fruit
