The combination of sweetness and fruit with smoke and peat is perfectly matched! The sherrylastige Aberlour and he smoky peaty Laphroaig unite to a wonderful voluminous, strong and fruity sweet blend, a really successful creation. I like and taste wonderful!
    • Nose
Bright and clear, the blend shimmers amber in the glass. A variety of small and oily drops stick to the glass wall while sweet sherry aromas are mixed with cold smoky notes and mineral peat. Dark and ripe apricots and peaches rise, opulent mint and eucalyptus aromas dissolve, vanilla and sweet sugar give the nose a candied base note. Creamy milk chocolate and dark caramel are in the foreground. The much-described smoke keeps in my case discreet, but is present all the time. Appearances of iodine and the typical phenolic aroma of Laphroaig are quite noticeable, as well as the mineral peat note. Sweetness plays with smoke, fruit plays with peat, a wonderful interplay of different flavors invites you to the first sip.
    • Taste
Heavy and biting smokes suppress almost all aromas at the first sip. Only at the beginning of the first sip are fruity and sweet elements associated with burnt sugar. The second sip flows through the palate, leaving a fiery burning sensation on the tongue, spicy chilli sparkling with black pepper and smoky wood elements a real hellfire ;-) Oily and creamy, the spicy and smoky aromas in the mouth, dark berries and chocolate fight with caramel and a hint of mint against the overpowering smoke and peat. Smokiness and fruit aromas also play together in the taste, the peat has retreated a little, but still exudes its mineral and stony tone.
    • Finish
Slowly the tickling sharpness sounds on the tongue. Sweet fruit flavors and creamy chocolate are in the foreground, cold smoke and earthy peat blend together in an oily way and heat up the peppery heat again. Iodine and a short chilli-catch briefly give the tongue a short tingle and bizzle. Oily and creamy, rancid walnut aromas and creamy, spicy wood tones slowly emerge. For a long time, the warm and oily aromas stick to the palate and on the tongue.
