  1. LeChiffre scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Difficult to grasp for me. Definitely needs time in the glass, then he grows. The sulphurous note in the nose is a bit annoying, in the mouth the powerful-intensive, spicy-fruity profile is very good. Also in the finish, the bad note (sulfur?) Flashes through me a bit and disturbs the otherwise good finish.
    • Nose
      84 84
spicy earthy; slightly sulphurous note; Tobacco notes; there's a sweet sherry note behind it; Red fruits; Vanilla; with time in the glass it becomes sweeter and rounder - water intensifies the development
Nose not too complex and the slightly sulphurous note disturbs something.
    • Taste

powerful and intense; very spicy; peppery; sweet and fruity; Dried fruit; red berries; Tobacco; Coffee; slightly salty; subtle smoke note; Oak
    • Finish
      87 87
astringent with a noticeable oak note; spicy; no bitterness; Coffee; Tobacco; delicate smoke note; a light touch of sulfur flashes through
