A very interesting old-style dram, highly recommended.

Wow, not funky as well, this is a genuine island whisky in the old days! Farmy and peaty, Nutella, engine oil, very dry and vegetal, rotten vegetables, dried pineapple,

Felt a bit thin and watery, some rubbery notes, sweet and vegetal, camphor and celery salts, becoming very leathery. Milk chocolate. Slightly sulfurous.
    • Finish

Short to medium, some drying spices, peaty chocolates, scents of a farm.

C: Displays distillery character with some funk & sweet soot. Think [Glen Scotia] 15yo with even more maturity. Not quite so amazing on the palate but very decent overall. Oh, I had this already. Same score.

    Scores a B

N: Deepish sugary malt with a soft sweet distillate funk.
T: Strathclyde-esque butterscotch with a sulphur-y tyre note and synthetic confectionary fruit.
    F: Quite luscious honeyed Polyfilla.
    C: A mix-and-match malt of high quality.Scores a B

    Notes by TWE:

This 25-year-old Campbeltown single malt whisky comes sailing in on a sea breeze, bringing with it notes of honey, cloves and citrus. A rich, oily dram and a fine example of Glen Scotia's distinctive coastal character. This limited-edition bottling has been created for The Whisky Exchange by independent German bottlers The Whisky Agency.
