So this version is a tough number. I realize that I can't judge how an ice wine whisky should taste. That's where the catch lies. Because actually I should say: This Batch1 was a disappointment. Was that so? I'm not sure because the Batch2 was even more notchy. Think about buying a bottle often. I should give him another chance. The sample was too small. Plan: waiting for bargains!
    • Nose
So to the nose I have to say that this way of bringing the light pears and apples mixed with sweet vanilla in this sweet grape note to the front is very special. A touch of herbal tea wrapped in sweet malt really has an aha effect. I don't know whether an ice wine finish has to be like that. Really very special. Respect. Very good balance.
    • Taste
Ok, but the wind to the storm is missing here. Or they mean a tender winter. Everything is very calm. The disappointment is also greatest now. Sweet sugar melons. Only with the second sip does the wind come up and the pepper carries the wood wort forward. For this 43% he is now doing everything right. Just nothing moving. No storm far and wide.
    • Finish
Somewhat medium to rather short. Sorry Glenfiddich, something went wrong? Where is the price? Where is the effect? OK, everything is round and ironed flat. Easy dram. Everything will be calm and dry. My impression: “Grape skins dried on oak boards”. I have to forget all of this quickly. At some point I'll get a bargain. Then I'll try again. He deserves it. Not Batch2 !!
