About Brauerei Locher (Säntis Malt Distillery)

The company Locher started as a brewery in 1896. In 1999, when the law was changed that allowed the use of potatoes or grain to produce drinks with a higher volume of alcohol, they started to distill whisky. In 2002, the first product reached the market. At this moment in time (2022), these four whiskies form the core range:

Sigel

Himmelberg

Dreifaltigkeit

Alpstein

The names are taken from mountains of the area.
