About Braeval

Braeval is a single malt Scotch whisky brand from the Braeval distillery near Chapeltown in Banffshire, Scotland. Established in 1973 by Chivas Brothers as Braes of Glenlivet, the name was changed to Braeval in 1994 to avoid confusion with its neighbour. Ownership passed to Pernod Ricard in 2001, and after a mothball period from 2002 to 2008 the distillery returned to full production. Official single malt bottlings under the Braeval name debuted in 2019, showcasing the light, high-altitude character of Speyside.
