About Cutty Sark

Cutty Sark was introduced in 1923 by London wine merchants Berry Bros. & Rudd, designed for export—despite Prohibition in the U.S. The blend was named after a famous 19th-century clipper ship, and its bright yellow label made it visually distinct. The recipe and brand’s ownership have evolved significantly over time, yet Cutty Sark remains one of the world’s most recognizable blended Scotch whiskies.
