About The Distillers Agency

The Distillers Agency was a Scotch whisky blending and bottling company based in Edinburgh. It was established in the early 20th century and became part of the Distillers Company Limited (DCL) in 1925, during the consolidation of Scotland’s whisky trade. The firm bottled both blends and single malts, often for export markets in Europe and North America. Its labels included names such as King George IV Old Scotch Whisky, which circulated widely in the mid-20th century. While the company itself no longer exists, its bottlings remain of interest to collectors as examples of the blending and branding practices of its era.
