A gentle, refined and complex nose. The kind you lose yourself in for one hour before realising you didn't even sip the nectar yet.
The mouth was maybe just a tad behind but I'm nitpicking. It had lemon, pepper and even pine. What can be wrong with that ?
Overall this one was less immediate and more cerebral than the 1983 Norse Cask 24 yo. Anyway. It's a tie.

Light peat smoke, coastal and mineral notes with seabreeze, wet stone, pencil shavings. Lemon and a tiny bit of ashes. With time the lemon is mixed with fresh mint and other herbal notes.

Sweet and lemony with strong peat, smoke, pepper and grassy notes. Pine resin, a bit of grass and eucalyptus.
