I have no issue with Bowmore, but NAS stuff tends to really tends to be completley non-offensive but also not really distinguishable for an Islay. I like it; but it's only a staple whisky to kep on your bar.... IMO

Wow, very malty. Like malty candy/chewy notes and a bunch of peat there too. It's light and easy drinking, non-offensive malt. There's a fruity note, and some char too - like American barbecue burnt ends, but it's not overwhelming. Charred legumes and tocuhes of slate too.

Peat comes in and takes some sort of hold, but it's not dominant. Swwet malt, loads of it. damp rocks and touches of coffee beans. There's a lot to like here. and get hooked on.... but there's touches of stuff that you're likely not interested in like wet clay and damp soil....

It's not long, not long enough to really long enough to show the Bowmore spitirt but there's somethign here. Coffee and peat, hints of malt and sweet mingle with leaves and compost and touches of wet rocks.
