Fantastic enjoyment. This malt easily outshines many Aberlour standards or other whiskys today.

Bourbon cask? Smells like old school sherry at first. Then turn towards wet algae on the beach, salt air and once again blooming sea lavender. Deep and intense for only 43%!

Lots of spicy forest honey, elderflower concentrate (looks like Ben Nevis from that time!) and a wonderfully resinous note. Oily mouthful, really outstanding! Getting slightly bitter towards the back,

Salted almond with grape jelly, tannins are tamed, then sweet old grapefruit at the end, and licorice at the very end. Great, long aftertaste.
