Not the best Glen Ord around, but a decent mid-aged dram bottled by one of the best whisky festivals in the world. Probably matured in a not-so-active bourbon cask.

Starts with apple mint and barley sugar mixed with flowery notes of violets and lavender. Followed by hints of menthol and eucalyptus. Sandalwood as well. Light grassy notes in the background. Leathery notes later on. It's all a bit spirity and 'rough'.

Lots of citrus fruit now; lemon peel, lime, and kiwi. Gooseberries, tangerines, and some unripe pear as well. Honey and whiff of vanilla. Spices of aniseed and thyme. There's fruitiness but overall not much complexity here.

Medium long with white pepper and a little clove. Pine at the end.
