Light to medium-bodied. One of the better ones out there in this price range in my opinion. The Lagavulin 16 strikes me as being a bit too much on the rough side (a bit under-matured for its own good to put it another way) for me to give it a higher rating, but then again I usually prefer older whiskies (something which is not the case for everyone). A great buy nonetheless.

'oak spices', some faint vanilla, salty sea, some iodine, lime,
old-fashioned candy shop, toffee and creamy notes, a very subtle and
pleasant 'dirty' and oily phenolic element is also present.
